About Us
Who are Excool?
Excool has been a trailblazer in the data center cooling industry since 2010. Our journey began with the development of a groundbreaking cooling solution, designed in response to the 2008 broadening of the ASHRAE recommended server inlet temperature envelope. Our products now extend across multiple cooling solutions to cope with the increasing IT demands generated from HPC and AI computing.
40 years of HVAC expertise and pioneering have made Excool what it is today. Excool’s origins date back to the early 1980s when the chairman, after years of designing and selling for Dunham Bush, saw a market opportunity for swimming pool heat recovery equipment. The company expanded into heating and cooling products for the retail sector, supplying major retailers such as Asda and Sainsbury’s. In the early 2000s, Excool began supplying specialised cooling equipment to the burgeoning data center industry in the UK. Eventually transitioning to the use of air-to-air composite heat exchangers, it lay the foundation for our current solutions.
Today, our mission is to exceed our customers’ expectations every step of the way, providing exceptional solutions through our expertise, partnership and innovation.

Although our products are designed and manufactured in our UK HQ, Excool have offices in the US, Germany, Malaysia and Singapore. We also plan to expand further into Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.
We employ local representative companies, service teams and deploy our UK-based team wherever they are needed.
Our global reach was recognised with the receipt of the prestigious The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: International Trade in 2022.
